CBU Earns First Grand National Championship Title in Daytona

DAYTONA, FL--- The California Baptist cheer team headed to the National Cheer Association Championships in Daytona, Florida, over the weekend, where the Lancers took home three first-place titles for an extremely successful weekend.
In the advanced All-Girl Division, California Baptist's Blue team was named Advanced All-Girl Division I National Champions after securing a first-place standing during the prelims and scoring a 24.0458 for the squad's ninth national championship title. The Lancers cruised past Kennesaw State University, Utah Valley University, and the University of New Hampshire for the national title. Additionally, the Blue team had a flawless routine during the Grand Championship and zero deductions during judging to earn CBU's first-ever Grand Championship title in program history. With the Grand Champion title, the Lancers have earned an automatic gold-paid bid to the 2025 National Championships.
The Intermediate All-Girl Division I CBU White team also had an impressive weekend in Florida after scoring a 96.0069 during the final round for the National Champions victory. The Lancers edged out Morgan State University by 0.4606 of a point, earning the program's second Intermediate National Championship title since the team's creation in 2022.
