CBU Men's Basketball Announces Participation in the 2024 Acrisure Holiday Invitational

RIVERSIDE, Calif., – The California Baptist University men's basketball team announced its participation in the 2024 Acrisure Holiday Invitational this week as a part of its non-conference slate for the 2024-25 season.
The Acrisure Holiday Invitational is a part of the Acrisure Series, the country's largest multi-team event series, which will be held at the beautiful new 11,000-seat Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California.
The Acrisure Holiday Invitational will take place on November 26th and 27th and will showcase 2024 NCAA Tournament team Washington State University, Fresno State, SMU and the Lancers.
The Lancers will head into the 2024-25 season with a collection of new faces but will ultimately be led by star guard Dominique Daniels Jr, who stormed onto the scene for CBU in his first season in Riverside. Daniels led the team in scoring while also setting the DI-era record for a single-season scoring average at 19.2 points per game. Daniels scored a season-high 39 points in a win over Southern Utah, setting the DI program record for points scored in a single game, which also serves as the building record for the Fowler Events Center.
Daniels had three 30+ point performances this season and scored over 20 points in nine games before suffering a season-ending injury in early February. Daniels was a force from the perimeter as well in his first season in the blue and gold, connecting on 57 triples in 21 games of action. Daniels knocked down at least five triples in six different games in his junior season and connected on 36% of his attempts.
CBU finished last season as the 8th seed in the Western Athletic Conference but were able to claim a WAC Vegas tournament win for the third consecutive season by downing #5 Utah Valley in overtime before falling to Seattle U in the quarterfinals.

Tickets for the Acrisure Holiday Invitational go on sale June 7, at 10:00 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST) and will be available at the Acrisure Arena box office, online at acrisurearena.com and Ticketmaster.com, the official ticketing provider of Acrisure Arena. One ticket is admission for the entire day, and can be used to watch any and all games played in Acrisure Arena on that day.
