RIVERSIDE --- The California Baptist Women's Golf Program will be back into the swing of things for the 2024-2025 season, starting mid-September. Head Coach Marc Machado will lead the program through 10 tournaments across the Fall and Spring seasons, with their sights set on another successful trip to the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at the end of April.
The Lancers will begin their competitive year with a trip to Ogden, Utah, where they will compete in the Kelsey Chung Invitational, hosted by Weber State at the Wolfcreek Golf Club. From there, the squad will head to Lakewood, Washington, to participate in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite. Machado's team will then fly to Chicago for a chance to play in the Loyola Parkinson Invitation and will then round out the fall season with the Little Rock Golf Classic hosted by the University of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The spring season will begin in late January as California Baptist will host Cal State Fullerton for an exhibition SoCal Ryder Cup match-up. The Lancers will then preview the Western Athletic Conference Tournament site at the Wigwam Preview, hosted by Utah Valley, from February 3rd through the 5th. CBU will also participate in Long Beach State's Alice and John Wallace Classic in Palm Desert, California, before returning to Arizona for the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational. The 2023 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational was the Lancer's lone team win, and the reigning champs will be looking for another good weekend in Rio Verde this season.
CBU will close out its regular season with the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona University and the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming in Maricopa, Arizona. The Western Athletic Conference Tournament will take place from April 14th through the 16th and will be played at The Wigwam in Goodyear, Arizona.
