RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist men's water polo team caps off its 2025 season with a pair of All-Americans, as the teams were announced on Friday morning. It was no surprise Andrea Nuzzo was named after his stunning sophomore season, while Alex Righetti ended his collegiate career with the impressive honor.
Nuzzo was named to the third team for his outstanding second year with the CBU program, boasting 92 goals, 48 assists, and 20 steals. The sophomore attacker led the Lancers in goals, assists, and shots to lead California Baptist back to the West Coast Conference Tournament Championship match for the third time in three years. Nuzzo was named to the All-WCC First Team and added to the WCC All-Academic Team.
Righetti concludes his impressive four years at CBU with one of the highest honors after securing a spot on the All-American Honorable Mention list. The senior ended his final season with 58 goals and 40 drawn exclusions, while earning a spot on the WCC All-Conference Honorable Mention team. Righetti was also acknowledged as a WCC All-Academic Team honoree.
The pair of awards comes as the third consecutive season CBU has earned one or more All-Americans as partners of the WCC. The Lancers finished the 2025 season 24-11 and returned to the WCC Tournament Championship match for the third consecutive season.
