CBU Locks Down a Pair of Wins at Home

RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist Unversity STUNT program welcomed Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the University of Concordia Irvine for a pair of games to open its home slate. The Lancers came away with two more dominating wins after besting Cal Poly 24-1 and taking down Concordia 24-1. CBU improves to 9-0 on the season and are now 89-0 as a program.
Head Coach Brandon Seagondollar's squad started off the evening strong against the Mustangs and left the visitors scoreless until the final quarter, where Cal Poly was able to secure a point after tying with CBU during the jumps and tumbling portion. Alexcius York would come up big for the first time this evening and earned the Highest Rated Player nod after tallying 65 points on the mat. Close behind and helping secure the home win for the Lancers were Brodi Perrault as the Stunter of the Game with 58 points and Maddison Arochi with 60 points as Tumbler of the Game.
The second game of the evening went a similar way for the Lancers, taking down the Golden Eagles 24-2 for their second home win of the season. York helped lead CBU to its second win of the evening and put down 59 points in front of the home crowd, earning her second Highest Rate Player honor of the night. Abigail Eshleman showed out during the tumbling portion against CUI and totaled 40 points for Tumbler of the Game. Ending the Lancer's spread was Ava Hersman with the Stunter of the Game honor for her 50 points on the night.
CBU will return to the mat on March 6th in Orange County as they head to Costa Mesa, California, to take on the Vanguard Lions.
