ARLINGTON, TX--- The 2024-25 Western Athletic Conference season awards were released this afternoon, with both Dominique Daniels Jr. and Bradey Henige earning all-conference distinctions for California Baptist University men's basketball.
Daniels Jr. earned First Team honors, marking the second consecutive season he has made an all-conference team. Daniels Jr. led the conference in scoring at 19.85 points per game and was 23rd in the NCAA in that category as well. The senior guard put on an offensive show in his second season in Riverside, scoring at least 20 points in 13 of the 27 games he played this season and scoring 30+ twice. One of those 30+ point outings was a season-high 36 points against Utah Tech, and the other was a 33-point game at UCF during non-conference action. Daniels Jr. becomes the third Lancer in program history to earn First Team honors after Ty Rowell did it in 2021 and Mila Ancquahh did it twice in 2018/2019.
Freshman big Bradey Henige was the other Lancer to earn All-WAC distinction after earning a spot on the All-Freshman team. The Cactus High School star earned a spot in the Lancers rotation and made an immediate impact. The Glendale, Arizona native averaged 3.3 points per game and 2.8 rebounds for the Lancers while shooting over 60% from the field in his first season in Riverside. Henige scored a season-high 12 points in a road win at Fresno State in non-conference action and 11 points on perfect 5-5 shooting against UTA in conference play. Henige is the second Lancer freshman to earn All-WAC honors since Taran Armstrong was Freshman of the Year in 2022.
