LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ--- The California Baptist women's golf program battled hot weather and challenging greens at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday, finishing the second round in fifth of nine programs. Pusanisa Ekkantrong holds the top spot for the Lancers, posting a one-over par on the second day of the tournament while maintaining an 11th-place spot.
Burberry Zhang had a solid day on the course after scoring 71, posting the lowest score of the day for the Lancers. Following closely behind was Damini Law Ghanshyani after ending the second day in 21st. Both Samantha Dizon and Lisa Shimmon posted nine-over par on Tuesday after struggling through the final four most difficult holes on the course. The high temperatures and slight humidity made for a more intense day than the first round, which saw the Lancers fall from second to fifth.
