CBU Claims Perfect Weekend in NorCal

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA--- The California Baptist STUNT continued its quest for perfection this weekend as they headed to Northern California to compete in a two-day tournament hosted by Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. The Lancers secured a perfect 3-0 weekend record, improving to 23-0.
CBU kicked off the weekend with a win over the tournament hosts, besting the Mustangs 24-4. Both Alexcius York and Maddison Arochi were named the Highest Rated Players of the Game with 67 points. Ella Hodson came away as the Stunter of the Game with 49 points, and Abigail Eshleman secured her first game award as Tumbler of the Game with 58 points. The Lancers then returned to the mat on Saturday for a doubleheader, taking down Jessup University 24-2 and UC Davis 24-0. Arochi was again named the Highest Rated Player against Jessup with 79 points, while Eshleman was named Tumbler of the Game, and Brodi Perrault secured Stunter of the Game. York was named Highest Rated Player again versus UC Davis, while Layla Langrell and Bailee Henry took home Stunter and Tumbler of the Game, respectively.
CBU will finish its home schedule with one last match against Vanguard University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before preparing for Nationals in Nashville at the end of April.
