Swim and Dive Honor 19 Seniors on Saturday

RIVERSIDE --- Nineteen seniors were recognized on Saturday, as California Baptist Swimming & Diving honored its senior class as part of their annual Senior Day ceremony. The day marked the end of CBU Dive's home schedule, as the Lancers took on Grand Canyon at the Lancer Aquatics Center.
CBU's diving team had another strong performance, capped off with another Zone E qualifying score as Gael Jimenez hit his mark. Jimenez qualified in 1m with a score of 327.3.
Mario Del Valle also had a strong showing as he swept the day with wins in 1m (352.8) and 3m (420.9). Jade Fontenelle added a win in 1m diving with 253.73, followed by Bella Reynolds in second with 237.83. Audrey Easter won in 3m with a score of 255.23.
In swim events, Jeanne-Lise Gauthier claimed victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:03.59. Mark Kovacsics also won in freestyle, adding a first-place finish in the 1650-free with a time of 15:23.31.
Andrew Teh also finished in first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:49.23.

Swim will be back in action in Riverside next weekend when UC San Diego visits the Lancer Aquatics Center. CBU's diving team will resume action on January 29 at the Air Force Academy Dive Invite.
