STUNT Wins Two More, Including Championship Game Rematch

DALLAS, TX --- California Baptist STUNT returned to the mat on Saturday for day two of the DBU STUNT Invitational in Dallas. Beginning with Division II Oklahoma Baptist, the day then saw a rematch of last season's national championship game as the Lancers squared off with Kentucky.
In typical CBU fashion, the day ended with a pair of victories as CBU jumps to 10-0 this season.
CBU kicked things off against Oklahoma Baptist, the top ranked team in Division II. The battle of two No. 1 programs ended with a 34-26 CBU win. Layla Langrell was the highest rated player with 95 points. Savannah Eshleman was the stunter of the game with 77 points. Madison Arochi was named the tumbler of the game.
The day then progressed with the anticipated rematch of last season's championship game, with the Lancers and Wildcats taking center stage.
CBU was in top form in their final game of the weekend as the Lancers topped Kentucky, 35-15. Alexcius York was the highest rated player with 85 points. Layla Langrell finished with 79 points to be named stunter of the game. Eva Lopez was the tumbler of the game.
The Lancers will return to action on Tuesday with a visit to Vanguard in Costa Mesa. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
