Biography
After two years as a player, Jessica Fisikava changes roles for California Baptist as she joins Bishop’s staff as an assistant coach for the 2007-08 season.
Fisiikava enters her first year of coaching after playing two years with the Lancers where she averaged 9.2 points per game. In the 2006-07 season, she scored a career high 27 points against San Diego Christian and scored 26 against Point Loma Nazarene in the opening round of the GSAC Tournament, her last game as a player at CBU. She also tied the single-game mark for three-pointers made with eight against San Deigo Christian.
In her two years playing for the Lancers she made 139 three pointers the third most in CBU history. Fisiikava hit 75 threes last year for the fifth most in a single season and hit 64 in the 2005-06 season which tied her for the seventh most in a single season at CBU.
A 2007 graduate of CBU, Fisiikava majored in kinesiology and minored in business. Before making her way to CBU, she played two seasons at Umpqua CC in Roseburg, Ore., where she set a program record for three-pointers made in a career (132). It was there that she received Kodak All-American and All-NWAACC first team honors in 2005.
Fisiikava played three varsity seasons at Cajon High in San Bernardino, Calif., where she was a three-time All-San Andreas League selection and a two-time All-CIF and all-county pick. She also led Cajon to the SAL title in 2003.
Fisiikava is single and lives in San Bernardino, Calif.
