Dan Heron was named the PacWest Golfer of the Week after California Baptist University's season opener. The true freshman carded two-straight rounds under par at the 2017 Itani Homes Collegiate Invitational, which was hosted by Washington State and primarily an NCAA Division I event. Overall, the true freshman finished with a one-under-par 212 to take 19th place. The Cheshire, England native shot two-over 73 in round one on Monday and then came in at two-under 69 in the day's second round. Heron finished the tournament with a one-under 70.
