RIVERSIDE, Calif. ? Shi Fei was named the Golden State Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 29. The sophomore from Nanjing, China, tallied 39 kills (6.5 k/g) with a .373 hitting percentage, 16 digs, four blocks, and an ace as No. 2-ranked California Baptist swept both of its GSAC opponents. In the victory over No. 6 Azusa Pacific, she had 20 kills (6.7 k/g) and nine digs. In the win against Westmont, Fei had 19 kills (6.3 k/g), seven digs, and three blocks.
This was the first Player of the Week honor Fei has received. Fei and the Lancers return to action tomorrow when they travel to Point Loma Nazarene for a 7 p.m. start.
