The Lancers jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead less than four minutes into the first quarter. CBU continued to pound the net, taking a 5-2 lead into the second quarter. The Lancers kept scoring, but the Tigers found the back of the net too, cutting the Lancers' lead back to three, 8-5.
The Lancers posted two more scores in the third quarter, while allowing only one, stretching their lead to 10-6. Each team then added a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.
CBU was led in scoring by Aaron Steiger, who posted six goals in the win. Chris Toy added a hat trick for the Lancers. Austen Ramer tallied seven saves in the goal.
The Lancers will play again on Saturday at Chapman at 11 a.m., and then at Redlands at 4 p.m.
