RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 2-ranked California Baptist University ran its winning streak to 11 straight with a 9-0 sweep of Westmont Saturday at the Pentz Tennis Center.
With the win, the Lancers improve to 12-1 overall, 10-1 GSAC, while the Warriors fall to 3-12, 2-9.
The Lancers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles. They won all six singles' matches in straight sets.
Martin Vaisse defeated Kent Stormans, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4, and Sebastian Gruber made his first appearance of the season in singles and posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Mathias Newell at No. 6. Lucas Pereira provided the clinching point at No. 3.
