RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The NAIA's No. 4-ranked California Baptist University dropped just 11 total games in a 9-0 route of Biola Saturday in GSAC men's tennis action at the Pentz Tennis Center.
The win is the Lancers' sixth straight as they improve to 7-1 overall, 5-1 GSAC. The Eagles fall to 1-9, 0-7.
CBU swept through doubles' play. Sebastian Gruber and Oliver Andrzjczuk picked up an 8-0 win over Daniel Westman and Brent Worthington at No. 2. Rekhi Little and Andy Botsch defeated Ryan Adams and Nicholas Lazar, 8-2, at No. 3.
Then in singles' play, the Lancers won all six matches in straight sets, giving up just one game or less on five courts. Lucas Pereira at No. 3 and Martin Vaisse at No. 4 won their respective matches by perfect 6-0, 6-0 scores. Little defeated Adams, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 5, and Botsch downed Lazar, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 6.
"Today was an all around solid performance from the guys,” said CBU Head Coach Chris Taylor. “I was pleased to see Rekhi, Andy and Sebastian step in and get the job done."
