RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University's cheer squad entered for the first time in school history "Lance" the Lancer in the NCA mascot competition by video last week.
The videos are sent in all around the country and work as a preliminary round of the competition. The finals are held in Daytona Beach, Fla., and consist of the top five mascots who are chosen.
The Lancers mascot took 7th, beating out New York University (8th), Hawaii Pacific (9th) and Wright University (10th), as well as all the other schools who did not make the top 10. Click the link above to check out the results of the contest.
