The Lancers dropped seven strokes on the second round and then six more in the third to fall out of the Top 5.
CBU shot a 920 (300-307-313) in its first tournament of the spring season.
The Lancers were led by Chris Rabbich at 222 (74-71-77), who finished in a tie for 21st individually. Glenn Hakes shot a 230 (76-74-80), and Mavric Goss (80-78-78) and Micah Machado (74-84-78) each shot a 236. Neil Hand's 242 (76-84-82) rounded out the scores for CBU.
Cal State Stanislaus came back to grab the win with an 864. The Warriors 282 in the final round was the second lowest round of the tournament. Cal State Monterey Bay finished second at 872 and tournament host Cal State San Bernardino (877) finished third after leading on day one.
The Lancers are back in action March 11-12 at the NDNU Invitational.
