Hungary For A Medal

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- After leading California Baptist University with 79 goals in 2013, Laura Kocsis will head to Kazan, Russia, this summer as a member of Team Hungary at the 2013 Summer Universiade (World University Games).
Kocsis' selection to the national team gives her a chance to compete for a medal for her home country and stay in top shape as she prepares for her third year with the Lancers next season.
The Universiade occurs every two years, and includes competition between national teams of student-athletes from all over the world.
The games begin July 6 as Hungary faces the United States. On July 8, Kocsis and her team will play Austria and on July 10 they face France.
The July 6 first round matchup will be a battle of silver medalists as the United States won silver in 2011 and Hungary took home silver in 2009.
