Lancers Fall to Fresno State

FRESNO, CA--- California Baptist women's water polo traveled to central California on Friday afternoon and dropped their Golden Coast Conference match versus #13 Fresno State. The Lancers move to 12-9 on the season with the 20-8 loss.
California Baptist struggled to keep pace with Fresno State, despite Emmie Ramirez's impressive four goals. The Lancers managed to score only two goals in the first period, and while they attempted to fight back with additional goals throughout the game, they couldn't close the gap.
CBU managed to score three in the final quarter but could not recover from the deficit, finishing the game with just eight goals.
The Bulldogs outshot the Lancers by just one, while CBU was victorious on one more power play over FSU. California Baptist will continue GCC play on Sunday versus #19 Pacific at 1 p.m.
