RESULTS
RIVERSIDE, Calif. — California Baptist University hosted its last home competition Friday afternoon, facing off against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Lancers defeated the Stags 126-107 to send the seniors out in style.
Josh Hanson helped the Lancers take the team win by claiming three events, including the men's 500-yard medley relay with the help of teammates Nikolay Klepikov, Brent Teraoka and Andrew Denton, touching first in four minutes, 41.77 seconds. Hanson also swam the 300-yard IM, clocking in with a final time of 2:59.89 seconds, and the 300-yard backstroke, finishing up at 2:58.30.
Fresh off the plane from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Alexis Ohmar took two first-place finishes, including a time of 1:40.91 during the 200-yard freestyle. The freshman clocked in with a 46.30 time during the 100-yard freestyle and teammed up with Bernardo Gonzalez Valentim, Chaffin Blake and Derek Wedel for the 500-yard freestyle relay, finishing up with a time of 4:06.00.
Teraoka stepped up and took an individual win in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 21.81 seconds, while Klepikov posted a time of 3:26.80 in the 300-yard breaststroke, which was good for first as well.
Zach Parry won the one-meter diving board event for the Lancers. He also won on the three-meter with 313 points. On the three-meter board, Kendall Rummell finished in second, earning 292.6 points.
The Lancers are back in action tomorrow at the Fresno Pacific Relays in Fresno, Calif., which begins at noon.
