RESULTS
CLAREMONT, Calif. --- California Baptist University started another season of distance track competition off on a good foot Saturday at the Rossi Relays.
"We were happy just to see everyone race well and be competitive," said head coacb Ben Gall. "This was an ice breaker for us."
The Lancers had three teams compete in the women's distance medley, with Alicia Williams, Millie Leitich, Madison Hiatt and Caroline Barkechir taking fourth with a time of 12 minutes, 9.00 seconds. The CBU "B" team finished 10th with a time of 12:41.03 and the third Lancer squad took 23rd, clocking in at 13:50.95.
Jessica Malagon was the lone Lancer participating in the 3000-meter run and finished 29th out of 59 runners, with a time of 11:07.64.
Alexys Estrada, Ashtyn Robidoux, Cammy Linger and Bethany Scherer teamed up for the 4x800 relay, coming in 12th place (10:57.14).
The Lancers head next to the Cal State L.A. Invitational on Mar. 7th in Los Angeles, with the first gun set to go off at 10 a.m.
