CERRITOS, Calif. — California Baptist University finished up its third-straight day of competition Saturday at the Long Beach State Invitational. With every effort to inch closer to making provisional times for nationals, the Lancers continued to post season-best times.
Starting the day was Veronica Hall who competed in the 1500-meter run. She finished third in her heat and 17th overall, clocking in at four minutes, 32.83 seconds.
In the women's 800-meter run, Alicia Williams took first in her heat with a time of 2:15.61. Charlie Davidson finished second in her heat with a new personal record of 2:20.99, while Millie Leitich clocked in at 2:21.18.
Caroline Barkechir ended the 5,000-meter race with a 12th-place finish — and second fastest time she's ever ran — clocking in at 17:16.97.
The Lancers are back in action next week in La Jolla, competing at the Triton Invitational on April 25th, which starts at 10 a.m.
