CBU Ready to Compete in the Sunshine State

SAINT LEO, Fla. — For the first time in program history, both California Baptist University men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the NCAA Division II Championship Meet Saturday morning.

The men get the race going bright and early at 8:30 a.m. ET from sunny Saint Leo, Florida, while the women follow at 9:45 a.m. ET. Both races at The Abbey Course will be streamed live on ncaa.com.

Saturday marks the Lancer men's third time going to the 'ship. CBU took 24^th as a team in 2014 and 22^nd in 2013. Currently, the Lancers rank 17^th in the division heading into the championship meet.

On the women's side, CBU ranks 23^rd in all of NCAA Division II. Last year, the Lancers qualified for the championship meet for the first time as a team and finished 26^th.

Both teams will look to come out stronger than ever and are hoping for a finish in the top 15.
