RESULTS
SAN DIEGO — It may not have been her usual race, but California Baptist University's Veronica Hall set a new school record Friday night at the San Diego Aztec Invite.
Hall ran the 3,000-meter race in nine minutes and 59.19 seconds for second-place overall. She'll look to carry that speed as she hopes to qualify for the PacWest and NCAA Division II championships in her usual 1500 and 800-meter events.
Four Lancers had strong finishes in the 1500m invitational, with Berenice Cleyet-Merle leading the pack. She clocked in at 4:36.06 for seventh in the event. Pauline Boelle followed her fellow French woman with a time of 4:37.65 for ninth. Their times put the two Lancers in the second and third spots in the all-time CBU list — Hall still holds that record with her time of 4:26.36 that she ran last year.
In the 1500m open, Katie Deimling took seventh with a time of 4:44.63. Charlie Davidson wasn't far behind, crossing the finish line in 4:46.99.
The Lancers head north for a pair of intense competitions at the SF State Distance Carnival and Stanford Invitational.
