LA JOLLA, Calif. — Just two California Baptist University runners competed at the Triton Classic Saturday with hopes of qualifying for the PacWest Championship Meet next week, with both getting what they were looking for.
Kim Rabenstein, who has been battling an injury, finished the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11 minutes and 45.64 seconds to qualify for the conference meet.
Charlie Davidson ran a solid 800-meter race, winning her heat with a time of 2:15.50. It was good for seventh overall and was a personal best for Davidson.
After most of the team was resting this week, the Lancers come together to compete in the conference championship April 28-29 back down in San Diego at Point Loma.
