MALIBU, Calif. — Despite competing in half the events, California Baptist University scored 590 points at Pepperdine's Malibu Invite.
The Lancers only attended day two of the meet and placed first and second in all seven individual events, as well as the two relays, on Saturday. CBU took fourth place overall as a result.
"Everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing right now. We are right where we need to be at this point and are setting up well for the rest of the season," Assistant Coach Lisa Siregar said.
CBU will have a split squad next week, the swimmers heading to UNLV for a dual Saturday at 10 a.m., while the divers host the Lancer Dive Invite at the same time.
Saturday started off on a high note, as the Lancers took first and second in the 200-yard medley relay.
