DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — For the second time in program history, California Baptist University had two stunt groups competing at the National Cheerleaders Association Championship Saturday.
Also for the second year in a row, both Lancer squads finished in the top three. Each stunt group had 45 seconds to perform straight stunts and both Lancer teams hit their routines without a drop. It was the third year in a row that the Lancers' stunt teams put together zero-deduction routines.
Taylor Contratto, Jordan Arrington, Dazmyn Dull and Evynn Richard teamed up to take second with a score of 56.07 points. It was just .33 points behind first-place Louisville's championship group (56.40).
Kacie Gonzales, Taylor Frasca, Alexis Humphrey and Breanna Krombs teamed up to take third, finishing with 55.20 points.
It caps off a very successful weekend where CBU won an unprecedented sixth-straight All-Girl Division II Championship the day before.
