DENVER -- California Baptist senior Lexy Ram was named the WAC Player of the Week on Monday morning. It is the first time in Lexy's time at CBU that she has received the honor and comes on the heels of a pair of career games.
Lexy scored a career-high 32 points against Northern Arizona on an incredibly efficient 12-15 shooting from the field and 6-9 from beyond the arc.
She followed that up with a huge double-double, dropping 31 points and grabbing 12 rebounds against UC Santa Barbara in a double-overtime win in Riverside.
Ram currently ranks third in the WAC in rebounds per game with 8.8, and fourth in scoring averaging 16.7 per game.
The Lancers will close out their season-opening seven-game homestand tomorrow night against LIFE Pacific at 6:00 p.m. and then travel to Victoria, Canada, to take part in the Greater Victoria Invitational where they will face-off against third-ranked Stanford on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and other opponents to be determined on Friday and Saturday.
