CBU Impresses at Chris Rinne Twilight

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – California Baptist University saw five top-10 finishes and four new personal bests at the Chris Rinne Twilight, hosted by UC Riverside on Friday.

Timothy Legemet ran his first collegiate 1,500Â meter and he did not disappoint. Legemet took first place with a time of three minutes, 59.17 seconds. Hot on Legemet's heels was Dennis Messmer, who crossed the line just .42 of a second behind Legemet.
Cody Beeson and McMarshall Hartzenberg also placed in the top 10. Beeson took eighth at 4:02.58 and Hartzenberg took tenth in 4:04.57. Mason Dowell (20th, 4:08.83) and Hector Peralta (23rd, 4:10.18) both set personal bests in the 1,500 meter, as well.

In the 800 meter, Adriel Barajas took sixth place, setting a new personal best in the process with a time of 2:01.60. Back in the 3,000 meter, Collins Koech ran a personal best of his own, finishing in 8:54.45 to take 11th place.

CBU returns to the track with a split-squad competing at both the Mt. Sac Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 18th and 19th.
