
CBU Enters 2019 Ranked 16th in NCAA

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – California Baptist University will enter the 2019 season ranked 16th in the NCAA, as the Collegiate Water Polo Association released its preseason poll on Wednesday.
The Lancers ended 2018 ranked 16th, as well, after they finished the season with a 22-12 record. CBU defeated a school, single-season record eight top-20 ranked teams and also hit a new program high in the NCAA era rankings last year at No. 11.
CBU opens the season at Brown University's Fall Classic Sept. 7-8. The Lancers will face St. Francis and Bucknell, which is also ranked 16th in the NCAA, on day one of the tournament and close it out against Wagner and No. 20 Brown.
