
Lancers Finish Second Round at Air Force Invitational

USAFA, Colo. --- The California Baptist University men's golf team finished the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Saturday, as the Lancers sit in 18th place.
Air Force leads the field of 18 teams after firing a 279-285=564 team score for a combined 12-under-par. Colorado had the best day on the course shooting a 6-under-par 278 during the second to move into second with a 566 team score. Northern Colorado moved up one spot to finish in third with a 569 team score.
Justin Cross held true as the day one and two leader for the Lancers with a 73-77=150 two-day score. He currently sits at T-59th.
Daeyoung Kim had the best day for the Lancers in the second round, firing off a 2-over-par 74 score. Kim is T-63rd with a 77-74=151.
John Hayes moved into T-80th with back-to-back 77's on the card, while Ryan Monsalve shot a 76-79=155 to place T-84th.
Michael Sarro finished his round with a 78 for the second straight day to finish T-91st.
Jake Vincent of Southern Utah jumped into first place with a 68-66=134 to shoot 10-under-par after two days.
The Lancers will finish the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 8, with tee times set at 8:05 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. The Lancers will start their round on hole 10.
