Adcock to Sit on ABCA Pitching Panel

RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University Coach Gary Adcock will appear on the American Baseball Coaches Association's first free Virtual Clinic on Tuesday, April 14 at 5 p.m. Pacific.
Adcock is one of seven panel members, which includes three Major League Baseball pitching coaches in the New York Yankees' Matt Blake, the Cincinnati Red's Derek Johnson and Cleveland Indians' Joel Mangrum.
Lancer pitchers have always gone on to great success at the next level under Adcock, a former pitcher himself at UCLA. Twenty-four Lancers (16 of them pitchers) have been drafted into Major League Baseball under Adcock over the past 16 years.
California Baptist was dubbed "Pitcher U" by a 2017 NCAA.com article for good reason, as it has had at least one pitcher taken in the MLB Draft over the last 10 years, with a total of 15 in that span. Two others have signed free-agent contracts with minor-league teams, as well.
CSUN Head Coach Dave Serrano, Parkland College's Jon Goebel and Belmont University Pitching Coach Caleb Longshore, a former assistant coach for the Lancers, will also serve on the panel.
