
Lancers Open First Round At The Clash At Boulder Creek

BOULDER CITY --- California Baptist University finished the first day of The Clash At Boulder Creek on Sunday, as the Lancers sit in a tie for 10th out of 18 teams.
Northern Arizona is hosting the three-day 54-hole event at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
San Francisco was the only team to produce an under-par team score with a 2-under-par 286 to take the day one lead by six strokes. Utah Valley is in second with a 4-over-par 292 team score, while UC Riverside and Fresno State are tied for third with a 5-over-par 293 team score.
The Lancers finished the opening round with a 15-over-par 303 team score and are nine strokes off the top-5.
Jocelyn Chee recorded a 2-over-par 74 to place T-25th, while Esther Lee and Haruka Shintani are a stroke back from Chee at T-35th with a 3-over-par 75. Sofia Chabon is currently T-75th with a 7-over-par 79, and Hailey Loh is 99th with a 12-over-par 84.
Madeleine Laux, who is competing as an individual for UNLV, leads the field of 102 golfers with a 4-under-par 68.
The Lancers will look to move up the leaderboard on Monday, Oct. 25, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
