
Lancers Battle High Winds During Second Round At Boulder Creek

BOULDER CITY --- California Baptist University battled the high winds in Monday's second round at The Clash At Boulder Creek, as the Lancers sit in a tie for 13th out of 18 teams.
Mother Nature took over for the second round at the Boulder Creek Golf Club, as only one team produced an under-par team score on the day. The high winds were coming in around 25-35 miles per hour on the course, as gusts occasionally came in over 50 mph.
UNLV climbed up six spots to take the lead after day two with a 1-under-par 287 team score. The Rebels hold a five-stroke advantage with an 8-over-par 584 team score. UC Riverside is in second with a 13-over-par 589 team score, and San Francisco dropped two spots to third with an 18-over-par 594 team score. The Lancers are tied with North Dakota at 13th with a 39-over-par 615 team score.
Esther Lee and Haruka Shintani are both currently T-41st with a 9-over-par 153. The duo both posted a 5-over-par 78 on the day. Jocelyn Chee sits at T-61st with a 13-over-par 157, while Hailey Loh produced the Lancers' low score of the day with a 3-over-par 75 to move up to T-78th. Sofia Chabon finished her round at T-84th with a 16-over-par 160 total.
Veronica Joels of UNLV took over the top spot on the individual end with a 3-under-par 69 for a 5-over-par 139 total. Joels holds a one-stroke advantage over the field of 102 golfers.
The Lancers will make their final push during Tuesday's final round as they will close out the fall season at The Clash At Boulder Creek. The shotgun start is set for 8 a.m.
