
Sweeping the Weekend: Lancers Open The Season Undefeated

COSTA MESA --- California Baptist University's STUNT team kept its undefeated season alive and strong on Saturday, as the Lancers took down William Jessup and Concordia.
GAME ONE:
The Lancers entered the weekend doubleheader after grabbing a series sweep over Vanguard on Feb. 17 and Feb. 19.
CBU continued to showcase a dominant first quarter, opening the game with a 4-1 advantage in partner stunts. From there on, the Lancers remained in control, taking an 8-1 lead at the break.
The Lancers put the game away in the final two quarters, putting together their most points of the season with a 20-5 win over the Warriors.
Madison Murray was the highest-rated player with a 41 in the game.
GAME TWO:
The Lancers had a quick turnaround on the day, facing the Eagles soon after.
The Eagles and the Lancers went into the half with a one-point game, as CBU held a 6-5 advantage over CU.
The Lancers broke through in the third quarter, though, scoring a point in all four rounds to go up 10-5.
There was no slowing down after the big third quarter, as the Lancers went on to beat the Eagles, 17-8.
Jordan Bruce was the highest-rated player with a 58.
With the sweep on Saturday, the Lancers open the season at 4-0.
They will face the Eagles one more time in Irvine on Feb. 25. The game is set for 6 p.m.
