CBU's Daunting Schedule Continues with Road Doubleheader at #10 UCSD

Madison East and Nicole Rhoads led the 21st-ranked Lancers with three goals apiece on the day, while Katie Fugit also had three points with two goals and one assist. CBU used the doubleheader for a split-squad day, as it rested its starters for game two.

The Tritons won both games on scores of 15-7 and 16-7, as they remain undefeated at 3-0 on the year. CBU moves to 0-6 on the season, as all six games have come against top-10 foes, including No. 4 Arizona State and No. 5 UC Irvine.
Fugit led the Lancers with two goals, an assist and five steals in game one. Kira O'Donell also had three drawn ejections, two steals and an assist in the game. CBU got goals from East, Jamie Hutton, Amy Branch, Morgan Baker and Vicky Martinez.

Kyra Foley manned the cage in game one for CBU and finished with nine saves. Madison Gerg started in goal for game two and compiled nine saves and two steals.

Offensively, Rhoads led the Lancers in Saturday's finale with a hat trick and drawn ejection. East scored two of her goals in the game, while Ellie Cruz had two assists. Nikkol Webber and Daly Cheek also scored in the contest for CBU.
The Lancers will start up Golden Coast Conference play next. They will take a week off before hosting No. 12 Fresno State in what will also be CBU's home opener at the Lancer Aquatics Center on Saturday, March 6 at 10 a.m.
