"I am incredibly proud of how these athletes prepared and performed at camp," said Cheer Coach Olivia Miller. "We added experience and talent to an already resilient team, and that showed when competing for our bid. We were all grateful for the opportunity to compete in person again, and I am extremely excited for what this team has in store this year."
As for the dance team, the Lancers earned the NDA Gold Bid and the USA Partial Bid after winning the Superior Award, Hardest Working Team Award, Most Collegiate Team Award, and the Game Day Winner. This marks the fourth straight year the Lancers have won the NDA Gold Bid. Cheyenne Compton earned Best Jumps overall, while Saludares claimed Best Turner overall. The Lancers also claimed two spirit sticks – one from USA and one from NDA. Hennigar won the overall Dance Star, and the Lancers had six Dance Star finalists.
"We are grateful that we were able to attend camp and compete in person this year," said Dance Coach Kristy Kane Mapes. "This team worked hard to accomplish our goals, and they not only achieved them but exceeded them. I am looking forward to the upcoming year with this talented group of athletes."
