Cullen Earns WWPA Player of the Week Honors

RIVERSIDE - After leading No. 16 California Baptist University men's water polo to a 4-1 week recently, attacker Cameron Cullen was named the Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week on Thursday morning. Cameron is the first Lancer to earn the award this season, the first of his Lancer career.
Cullen kept the Lancers trending in the right direction by leading CBU to its sixth win in its last seven games. Cullen totaled 19 points on the week by scoring 11 goals with eight assists and 11 steals. He scored on five of six shots in a conference win against Fresno Pacific and finished off the week with a four-goal, two-assist performance in a win over Mount St. Mary's (Md.)
Cullen and the Lancers will resume conference action tonight as they host No. 14 UC San Diego tonight at 6 p.m. CBU will then begin hosting duties as the Lancer Joust is set to begin Friday at 9 a.m. with 13 total games being contested from the start until the final match on Saturday at 5 p.m. as the Lancers face Cal Lutheran to close out the tournament.
