
Sweeping The Weekend: Lancers Finish Arizona State Tournament 3-0

TEMPE--- California Baptist University's STUNT team dominated on the final day of the Arizona State Tournament, as the Lancers beat Arizona State, 21-1, and finished the day with another shutout victory over Grand Canyon, 21-0.
Game One – Arizona State
CBU instantly took the lead as the Lancers went 4-0 for partner stunts. They stayed in the lead as they continued with the pyramid and tosses in the second quarter, going into the half up 8-0.
The Lancers still kept the ball rolling in the third quarter as they came out on top of all four rounds in jumps and tumbling.
CBU didn't look back in the final quarter, as the Lancers closed out the Sun Devils.
Vanessa Copeland was the highest-rated player with 86 points.
Game Two – Grand Canyon
The second matchup of the day was a rematch with Grand Canyon. CBU came out strong again in the first quarter going 4-0. This brought us into the second quarter, where they led the way with 8-0 after the pyramid and tosses.
The Lancers held on to their lead against Grand Canyon as they finished off the third quarter a perfect 12-0.
CBU recorded its second perfect game in the program's history – both against Grand Canyon – as the Lancers closed the game out 21-0.
Jordan Bruce was the highest-ranked player with 37 points.
The Lancers will be traveling to Texas on Feb. 18-19 for The Dallas Baptist University Tournament as they face Texas, Texas Tech and Kentucky on day one. Day two will consist of matchups between Oklahoma Baptist University and Oklahoma State.
