
Lancers Close Out Final Round At Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

USAF ACADEMY --- California Baptist University's men's golf team closed out the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Sunday, as the Lancers finished 18th out of 24 teams.
Colorado State went wire-to-wire to win the three-day tournament by 25 strokes with a 30-under-par 834 team score. Colorado climbed one spot to take second with a 5-under-par 859 team score, while San Jose State finished in third with a 3-under-par 861 team score.
Sean Citherlet ended the day as the top finisher for the Lancers, signing three consecutive rounds of 74 for a 6-over-par 222 total to place T-45th. James Mackie had an exceptional day on the course, firing the Lancers' first under-par round of the season with a 3-under-par 69 to jump up 44 spots to place T-51st.
Eeli Kujanpää also moved up the leaderboard by 15 spots to finish T-63rd with a 9-over-par 225. Chanhee Ryu finished with a 13-over-par 229 to place T-90th, while Sam Jenkins signed a 16-over-par 232 to finish T-99th.
Connor Jones of Colorado State was able to catch his teammate during the final day, finishing with a 13-under-par 203 to earn the medalist honors by one stroke.
The Lancer will travel next to the Nick Watney Invitational on Sept. 26-27 at the Kings River Country Club in Fresno.
