BOULDER CITY, NEV. – California Baptist men's golf team put together one of the best team rounds of the Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Tournament on Sunday as all five competing golfers shot 1-under par to post a team score of 4-under (284). John Hayes was the only Lancer to go under par for the tournament, going 71-71-71 for a final score of 3-under (213). He finished T20 for his three-day effort and became the first Lancer to turn in three-straight rounds under par at the conference championship tournament.
Sophomores Eeli Kujanpaa, CBU's top finisher at last year's WAC tournament, and Sean Citherlet finished the tournament with a final score of 2-over (218) to claim T39. Luke Bartram shot back-to-back 71s to finish the contest at 3-over (219) to finish T43. James Mackie closed his Lancer career with a T53 finish in Boulder City, carding a 9-over (225) in his final tournament.
