CBU's Season Concludes in Texas

MCKINNEY, TX--- The California Baptist men's golf program concluded its season Wednesday afternoon after finishing in fourth at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. Jared Abercrombie continued to battle for the individual title until the very end, ultimately finishing in second place.
Abercrombie kicked off the third and final round in Texas with a birdie before going on to end his last trip around the course with a total of six. He finishes his 2025-2026 season with a 70 and went 2-under across the three-day tournament. Lorenzo Lombardozzi had an excellent round on Wednesday as well, shooting 1-under to jump three spots and finish in 11th.
Kurtis Rodriguez shot even with par on Wednesday afternoon with three birdies to finish in the top-10 individually. Andy Yang ranked 21st in the tournament, and Bryden Brown ended in 33rd to cap off the Lancers' season. As a team, CBU ranked second on Par 3 holes with an average of 3.40 and in Pars overall with 153 behind Utah Valley. Abercrombie ranked second individually in birdies after shooting 17 across the last three days. The fourth-place finish marks the sixth time this year the Lancers have finished in the top five in a tournament.
