Abercrombie Paces the Lancers on Day Two of the WAC Tournament

MCKINNEY, TX--- The California Baptist men's golf program finished in fourth of seven programs after the second day of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. Jared Abercrombie secured the lowest score of the round for CBU and is currently tied for fourth individually. The Lancers are nine strokes out of first place, behind Abilene Christian, UT Arlington, and Tarleton State.
Abercrombie opened the second 18-hole day strong with seven birdies to finish 2-under. His best hole of the day was number seven where he earned his first eagle of the week on the par 5. Kurtis Rodriguez continues to hang around and shot a 73 during his second round, with three birdies to end in 9th. Lorenzo Lombardozzi finished with a 75 for 14th and Andy Yang ended in 21st. Bryden Brown broke out onto the course for his first round of the week after subbing Ka'ena Kaulia, and tallied a 78 through his first pass.
California Baptist returns for one more round tomorrow morning with the WAC Tournament Championship within reach for the Lancers.
