
Lancers Round Out Coeur D'Alene Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday

COEUR D'ALENE, ID--- The California Baptist women's golf program participated in its second tournament of the season at the Coeur D'Alene Collegiate Invitational in Idaho. The Lancers finished ninth of 13 squads in Idaho, as Damini Law Ghanshyani led the team with the lowest score of the tournament for CBU.
Samantha Dizon carded the best score after the first round of the tournament, shooting 1-under 70 and holding the fifth-place spot. Ghanshyani totaled a three-over (74) to finish the first round with the second-best score of the Lancers. Sofia Chabon and Ghanshyani both completed their second round with 1-over (72) scores.
The third day of the tournament was cold and rainy as the Lancers battled through to a ninth-place finish. Ghanshyani secured the lowest tournament score for the Lancers as she finished the final round 1-under (70) to finish the tournament tied for 16th. She also secured a top-ten spot in par 3s and pars through the tournament. Dizon finished tied for 22nd after firing a 1-over (72) on the final hole for a tournament score of 218. Chabon finished the tournament with a 221, while Pusanisa Ekkantrong finished in 54th place with a 17-over (230). Esther Lee wrapped up the day with a 20-over (233) at her first event of the season.
The Lancers will now head to Libertyville, Illinois, to participate in the Loyola Parkinson Invitational hosted by Loyola University Chicago at the Merit Club from October 9th through 10th.
