MONTEREY, CA--- The California Baptist men's golf program finished its third event of the fall slate on Wednesday afternoon, carding a 14th-place finish at the Leadership and Golf Collegiate Championship hosted by St. Mary's at the Bayonet Golf Club. Andy Yang posted CBU's best finish of the day after finishing in 40th.
TL Brown's squad kicked off the three-day tournament with two freshmen pacing the Lancers. Bryden Brown posted the lowest score of the first day after scoring even with par, while Yang carded a 1-over score. The next was tough for CBU after no Lancer was able to score under or even with par. It was Yang on the third round that was able to reign in his score, posting even with par to give himself the best finish for CBU.
Sean Citherlet ended the third tournament of his senior year in 63rd, while Brown ended in 57th after finishing the tournament 10-over. Eeli Kujanpaa ended in 79th, while Derek Lekkerkerk rounded out CBU's scores in 82nd.
The Lancers are set to finish their fall slate in Sugar Land, Texas, at the Husky Intercollegiate hosted by Houston Christian University at the end of October.
