RIVERSIDE--- Dominique Daniels Jr. can add another accolade to his already stacked college resume as he was named to Rocco Miller's Non-Power 5 All-American Watchlist.
Miller's Bracketeer's All-American Watch List for the Non-Power Conferences recognizes the college basketball season's most outstanding players regardless of position. The list contains players from all 22 eligible conferences. Regardless of position, any player on the active roster is eligible to be considered a preseason All-American. As such, the Bracketeer All-America Teams recognize the outstanding team player and leadership, not merely exceptional individual success.
Daniels Jr. made the Third Team of Miller's stacked list alongside Don McHenry of Western Kentucky, Honor Huff of Chattanooga, Matt Rogers of American, and Barrington Hargress of UC Riverside. On the First Team, fellow WAC guard Tyon Grant Foster of Grand Canyon was named the Preseason Player of the Year along with Daniel Batcho of Louisana Tech, Caden Pierce of Princeton, Xaivian Lee of Princeton, and Kimani Hamilton of High Point.
Daniels Jr. was named a WAC All-Preseason player after finishing second in the conference in scoring at nearly 20 per contest in a season that was shortened due to a knee injury. Daniels Jr. had three 30+ point performances for the Lancers in his first season in Riverside, including setting the single-season DI program record for points in a game with 39 against Southern Utah.
Daniels Jr. and the Lancers open the 2024-25 season on Monday, November 4, against Incarnate Word at home at the Dale E. & Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center.
