
CBU Picks Up a Pair of Wins in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TENN--- The California Baptist STUNT team improved to a 70-0 all-time program record after taking down their first two opponents at the Trevecca Nazarene STUNT Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Lancers improved their season record to 14-0 and picked up their sixth shutout of the year.
It was freshman Maddison Arochi who led the way during the Lancer's first game of the day against Ashland University. The rookie picked up 38 points to earn her first career Highest Rated Player nod, while Brodi Perrault and Kaitlyn Bartlett earned Stunter of the Game and Tumbler of the Game honors. The Eagles were able to put a pair of points on the board against CBU, but it was no match for the 23 points from the Lancers.
The second game of the day also went in favor of the Lancers as the SoCal team downed UT Martin for the program's 70th all-time win. Senior Breanna Gonzalez was named Stunter of the Game after she scored 46 points, and Karington Sebastian picked up the Tumbler of the Game title for her 17 points on the mat. Elizabeth Hussein was named Highest Rated Player after she scored 53 points and led the squad to their 14th win of the year.
The Lancers will stick around in Nashville, Tennessee, for the second day of the TNU tournament and will take on Central Arkansas and Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.
