WGOLF Preview: CBU Heads to Northern California for Fresno State Classic

RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist women's golf team is set to head to Nothern California to compete in the Fresno State Classic hosted by Fresno State at the Copper River Country Club. This is the squad's second-to-last tournament before heading to Arizona for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at the end of April.
The Copper River Country Club is home to an 18-hole par-72 course set against the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. The course features water on nine of the 18 holes and no two fairways are similar, creating a challenging course for any golfer. For this event, Head Coach Marc Machado will travel with Pusanisa Ekkantrong, Sofia Chabon, Samantha Dizon, Diletta Facchini, and Burberry Zhang.
California Baptist is coming off a second-place finish in Puerto Rico at the Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Ball State. Ekkantrong showed out for CBU yet again and placed a team-high sixth place. The true freshman will be looking for her second individual tournament win this season, while the squad will be on the hunt for their second team win this year.
