RIVERSIDE--- Fred Tindale of the California Baptist men's golf team was named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his outstanding performance at the Irish Creek Collegiate event last week. Tindale earned his first CBU Individual Championship after carding a final score of 208.
The graduate student's lowest round of the week came during the second round after finishing with a 67. Tindale continued his low ways into the third round on Tuesday morning and tied for first with two other golfers. The trio competed in three playoff holes, but only Justin Larue from Longwood and Tindale continued to the final hole. After Larue made a bogey putt, the CBU graduate student secured the team's first individual champion this season with a six-foot par putt for the win.
